Project Description
The Golden Triangle Regional Airport Authority commissioned a 20-year master plan to define long-range goals and objectives addressing the airfields, airlines and the function of the terminal.
This project called for the demolition of the existing terminal and reconstruction of a new terminal, while maintaining all airport functions. This was accomplished by a phased operation allowing parts of the existing building to be used while other areas were undergoing demolition and reconstruction.
The architectural concept reflected the progressive attitude of the Golden Triangle area by providing an inviting, creative, and a visionary threshold to the community that acknowledged the past.
