Jackson County Health Department

Pascagoula, MS

Project Description

The Jackson County Health Department is a new construction project designed as a replacement facility for the now abandoned Jackson County Health Department, which suffered severe damage from Hurricane Katrina. The original building was adjacent to Singing River Hospital. Health Department Services were being provided via a temporary facility until the new project was built immediately behind Singing River Hospital, thus reuniting medical services on adjacent properties. The new Health Department facility is designed to accommodate medical services covering basic general outpatient needs, Pediatrics and Adult care, Prenatal, Maternity, Immunization, At Risk Social Services, Tuberculosis, and Environmental Plan Review and Permitting.
