This addition to Tupelo High School had to fit into the context of the existing campus plan, yet create its own identity as an advanced technology building within the existing fabric. The goal was to showcase students’ work and stimulate creative thinking. This was done by opening up the main circulation with windows into each of the technology labs and by using building systems as a technology teaching tool. For example, the mechanical systems is a teaching tool of hydrology and air convections. The building contains flexible technology labs for changing curriculum.
